VISION STATEMENT

As your next Chief of Police, I am committed to a vision where every resident and visitor in Slidell feels safe, respected, appreciated, and heard. My years of supervisory and law enforcement expertise give me a “Ready on Day One” approach from the minute I’m sworn in. There is no on-the-job training for chief; the position requires many years of law enforcement experience and officer leadership, the very experience I bring. I am ready to lead our officers with honor and integrity. My plan rests on three pillars:

1. Community Partnerships: We will strengthen relationships with established partners, including but not limited to, the ministerial alliance, community outreach programs, and school administrators. In coordination with the Mayor, City Council, and local organizations, we will hold quarterly town hall meetings to hear concerns directly, increase transparency, and build stronger bonds among the police department, city leadership, and the people of Slidell.
2. Professional Excellence: We will continue to recruit, hire, and retain the very best to serve our citizens. We will provide state-of-the-art equipment and ongoing training for our officers, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and respect. That ensures every interaction between residents and officers builds trust.
3. Smart, Modern Policing: We will continue to refine our practices and utilize cutting-edge, data-driven policing strategies, including responsible drone deployment, upgraded technology systems, and a community alert system, to improve response times and public safety while safeguarding privacy and civil liberties.
