United States Navy Nuclear Weapons Technician
In 1987, Tommy joined the United States Navy, where he served as a Nuclear Weapons Technician. During his military service, he was highly decorated for service above and beyond the call of duty. Tommy was honorably discharged after completing his second enlistment.
Police Officer for the City of Roswell Police Department
From 1995–2007 Tommy Williams served with the City of Roswell Police Department, advancing from certified detention officer to patrol sergeant. He supervised a large patrol shift, prioritized officer development and readiness, and successfully managed a federally funded commercial vehicle enforcement grant exceeding $200,000 without discrepancies.
Law Enforcement Family – Father, Wyatt Williams
Tommy has spent most of his adult working life in service to the nation and community. Tommy was raised in a law enforcement family. His father retired from the Slidell Police Department after 25 years of service. After retirement, Tommy’s father Wyatt was elected as the Slidell City Marshal where he served two complete terms before retiring. Tommy has been in a law enforcement position for over 30 years. He has attended thousands of hours of training with hundreds of those hours in specialized fields including three levels of police supervision.
